Former 'Ars Technica' Technology Editor Peter Bright |
Peter Bright, 38, a reporter and Technology Editor for Ars Technica (who’s since been fired) has been arrested and charged with attempting to solicit sex minors online.
According to a federal complaint filed in the U.S.
District Court for the Southern District of New York, Mr. Bright met with an
undercover FBI special agent for the purpose of molesting a 7-year-old girl and
9-year-old boy.
He was arrested on May 22nd and charged with one count
of attempted enticement of a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity and is
being held at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan without bail on
the grounds of “risk of danger”.
After making contact on April 18th, on KinkD, a dating
app which describes themselves as, "The best bondage, kink, fetish and
BDSM dating community."
Mr. Bright, going by the username “randomanon” responded
to the agent's message about seeking people to teach her children about “birds
and the bees”.
In the federal complaint, it states that the agent
informed Bright in subsequent messages that she had a 7-year-old daughter and
9-year-old son.
Bright reportedly wrote via WhatsApp about “teaching”
them “lessons” by molesting both children and raping and sodomising the 7-year-old girl, allegedly
saying,
“I think masturbation and, [sic] anal sex are probably my favourite subjects. Helping girls find those special places to touch, it’s very rewarding.”
Allegedly sending pictures of his penis and S.T.D.
test results.
“I’m thinking maybe something involving foreskin is the way to start,” —Peter Bright (allegedly)
Bright also allegedly claimed to be in a sexual
relationship with an 11-year-old saying, “I have a girl I’ve been teaching off
and on for a couple of months now,”
Bright's Twitter bio states that he is
“Poly/pan/pervy.” Though he seemed to have forgotten pedo.
Here are a few of his more questionable tweets that I
was able to find:
According to the Daily Dot's report, "If law enforcement locates the 11-year-old Bright allegedly said he was in a sexual relationship with, he could potentially be charged with far more serious offenses, such as rape."

The point that society likes to think of itself as vigorously anti-paedophile but does little or nothing useful about it is important.— Pumpkin Fright👨⚕️🍕 (@DrPizza) August 12, 2014
To be clear: not talking about Milo here. Some twitter fuckwit has decided that I'm a pedo and is complaining to my employer about it.— Pumpkin Fright👨⚕️🍕 (@DrPizza) February 21, 2017
What is the objective standard for an age of consent?— Pumpkin Fright👨⚕️🍕 (@DrPizza) October 24, 2017
I think it highlights the arbitrariness of age of consent as a concept, really.— Pumpkin Fright👨⚕️🍕 (@DrPizza) May 17, 2018
That says more about your garbage rules than it does Alex Jones' conduct. But apparently, someone calling me a pedo repeatedly isn't against the rules either. Your rules are total shit. https://t.co/fjR7Uh0VZn— Pumpkin Fright👨⚕️🍕 (@DrPizza) August 8, 2018

"underage" is a purely legal standard, and the age of consent in Italy is 14, rising to 16 if the older person is in a position of authority.— Pumpkin Fright👨⚕️🍕 (@DrPizza) March 3, 2019
So... no. 17 and 24 is legal in every part of Europe other then the Vatican, and Turkey West of the Bosporus.

Yes, apparently pizza is now the international symbol of pedophilia (?) because pedos like to advertise that they're pedos (?)— Pumpkin Fright👨⚕️🍕 (@DrPizza) August 6, 2018

@realnudel I wouldn't disagree; I think age-based rape laws (rather than consent-based) are stupid.— Pumpkin Fright👨⚕️🍕 (@DrPizza) May 8, 2013

the age of consent/child porn split has always been absurd, but in an era of sexting, it's actively harmful https://t.co/WolVqWzKEb— Pumpkin Fright👨⚕️🍕 (@DrPizza) October 5, 2017

It's too bad he doesn't live in Alabama.
