Conservative suffers “Hate Crime” at University of California, Berkeley

Berkeley conservative being attacked because of prejudice towards his political views.

Right on the heels of Jussie Smollett’s alleged hate crime which grew faker and faker with each passing day, a conservative student got violently assaulted on UC Berkeley’s campus while helping students recruit for a conservative group and the mainstream media barely touched on it.

Leadership Institute (Campus Reform's parent organization) field representative, Hayden Williams, was seen in cell phone video, captured by multiple onlookers, being punched several times while the attacker shouted “Mother f*cker. You racist little inbred b*tch. C**t!” and that he would "shoot" Williams. The suspect has since been identified by UC-Berkeley Police, but his name has not yet been released.
Unnamed Assailant.Zachary Greenberg.

Williams at the time was helping Turning Point USA recruit other conservatives with a sign that read, "hate crime hoaxes hurt real victims”, in reference to Jussie Smollett’s massively publicised hate crime hoax.

UC Berkeley stated that "we strongly condemn violence and harassment of any sort, for any reason. That sort of behavior is intolerable and has no place here. Our commitment to freedom of expression and belief is unwavering."

However, a Berkeley employee, Yuvi Panda, after hearing about the violent act against one of their own students, took to Twitter to write, “OH MY GOD THE MAGA PEOPLE ON UC BERKELEY CAMPUS YESTERDAY GOT PUNCHED IN THE FACE BY SOMEONE THIS MAKES ME FEEL EMOTIONALLY SO MUCH BETTER.”
Panda then went on to say "Thank you, random stranger for not letting it go unchallenged.” adding "Hope you aren’t in too much trouble."

Yuvi Panda's twitter account is now private, and the tweet is no doubt deleted. You can still see that his pronouns are "He / Him", though he is acting like a 🅱itch.

UC Berkeley Spokesperson, Dan Mogulof, confirmed in a statement to Campus Reform, that the university did employ Panda.
“While we have no legal ability to control or sanction what employees do during their free time, it should be absolutely clear that any expression of approval and support for violence stands in complete and total opposition to the values, commitments, and policies of this university,” Mogulof added.
Berkeley's response.
But since the University "strongly condemn violence and harassment of any sort" and "That sort of behavior is intolerable and has no place here.”, I'm curious to see the faith of this employee and his future with the university.

Williams said in an interview, “I’m an easy target for these people. I’m a small guy.” but he will continue being an advocate, “because of dedication to our beliefs and values.

The media may not want to admit it, but, people wearing MAGA hats are more likely to be the victims of “Hate Crimes” than the ones causing them.
"It's not necessarily that you don't believe that this is the truth, you don't even want to see the truth." —Jussie Smollett

  • UPDATE:
On Friday, UC-Berkeley said that it has arrested Zachary Greenberg, 28. The suspect, caught on video, in the February19th attack against a conservative on campus.
UC-Berkeley said in their statement on Friday, "Today, an Alameda County Superior Court Judge issued a warrant for the arrest of the suspect in the matter involving a February 19 assault on Sproul Plaza. Zachary Greenberg was arrested by the University of California Police Department (UCPD) on the warrant and booked into jail at 1 p.m. UCPD will formally present the case to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office for consideration of the filing of criminal charges. Once the matter is presented and reviewed by the District Attorney’s Office, additional information will be made available regarding a charging decision,"
UC-Berkeley assault suspect Zachary Greenberg, 28.
He was booked into the Glenn Dyer Detention Facility in Oakland with his
arraignment scheduled for Monday at 9 A.M. (local time) and a bail of $30,000.

According to jail records, Greenberg was charged under California Penal Code 245(A)(4) F. Meaning that he could face imprisonment in the state prison for two-four years, a maximum of one year in a county jail or a fine not exceeding ten thousand dollars ($10,000), or by both the fine and imprisonment. Here's hoping for the latter.

In a statement to Campus Reform, Williams said,
"I am grateful to the University of California Berkeley Police Department for its dedication to identifying and arresting the man who attacked me. But while this is a moment for celebration, I remain disappointed by the UC Berkeley Administration, which allowed a culture of intolerance and violence toward conservatives to grow. I hope UC Berkeley’s leadership will seize on this moment-in-time to take deliberate steps to establish a zero tolerance policy when it comes to violence, and restore Berkeley’s legacy as 'Home of the Free Speech Movement'."
